Getting Nasty?
Last week with the key victories in three primaries: Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island, Hillary Clinton surprised Obama after he had won 11 contests in a row. This is not over by a long shot. According to US News & World Report, Hillary Clinton is aware that the battle for the nomination will be fierce all the way to the party's nominating convention in August.
So far in the overall delegate count, Obama has 1,567 and Clinton 1,462. Yet according to the Associated Press, either one of them needs 2,025 for the nomination . There are about 600 pledged delegates that have yet to chose.
US News & World Report reports that since the Democratic contests are not winner-take-all but proportional, the path to the August convention is difficult for both Clinton and Obama.
