Weirdness

Though the Democrats won decisively during the last election, Congress's approval rating has plummeted. Yet, despite the poor ratings, most feel the Democrats will win more congressional seats (especially in the Senate) in the upcoming election. Moreover, the Democratic Presidential candidates have raised much more money than their Republican counterparts. Also, many more have voted in the Democratic primaries than the Republican primaries (though some of this may be due to the fact that only John McCain is left for the Republicans).
While it seems a Democrat will surely win the Presidential race, recent polls give Senator McCain a slight lead in the general election. The fact doesn't seem to make sense.
